Against the muted piano, we decided to have the bass more in the foreground as a melodic feature for the intro and outro of this track. The title comes from a recent fascination with free diving and underwater themes. The movement of the piano chords, particularly with the addition of the palm mute pedal, felt like the swell of ocean waves.
