The project is a free-ranging and genre-bending hybrid of post-classical and electronica, converging elements of ambient, dance, avant-pop, chillwave, and drum &amp; bass.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\"<\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Angel's Share<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> is my most mature and personal album to date. The album itself is dedicated to my late father, who passed in 2019. The title is taken from the expression that refers to the percentage of a barrel of whiskey that evaporates - known as the Angel's Share,\" he explains.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Paddy Mulcahy curates the audio story of the album in three parts, representing the stages of grief. From the track\u00a0<\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Thomas Street<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, on which Mulcahy lives, to\u00a0<\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">A Smile On The Left<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, dedicated to his partner, and\u00a0<\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">What A Leaf Hears<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, inspired by the poem he wrote late at night, the whole record is threaded with personal details for the listener to unpack.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The album reflects on the global events in the past 18 months, in the time when Mulcahy experimented with new instruments and different recording techniques, expanding his studio capabilities.
